Established in 1967.
In 1967, determined not to be just a farmer, Ralph McKay purchased one of the historic Victorian buildings in downtown Holly, Michigan which had been a hardware store for many years. Ten years later, sadly, Ralph passed away, leaving Barbara, his wife, to split her duties between rearing a family of 6 children and building a respected, successful business. Eventually, the hardware business was sold to one of the children who moved it north of town to be expanded and the building was leased to become an Antique Mall. Initially named Antiques on Main, over time with change of ownership it became Main Street Antiques. The owners of Main Street Antiques then chose to give notice and the business was to be closed. However, Barbara McKay had different thoughts. Not wanting to evict the dealers housed within the mall, with the assistance of her daughter-in-law, she elected to continue the business. That was until the current owners entered the picture. Robbin Yelverton and Jerome Raska, purchased the building and acquired the business as part of the deal in 2016, at which time it was officially named Holly Antiques. With over 70 years of combined experience in retail, they made upgrades to the building but kept intact its much-loved historic charm. With over 36 Dealers and many consigners, the business continues to grow and flourish. A destination worth revisiting, Holly Antiques is open 7 days a week other than major holidays.
